Northern was a 2-4-0 side tank steam locomotive.
History[]
Northern was built by Sharp, Stewart and company in 1879 for the Manx Northern Railway on the Isle of Man and numbered 2 along with it's sibling no.1 "Ramsey". Northern operated on the MNR until it's closure in 1905 where it was inheritated by the Isle of Man Railway and numbered 17 but never whore the number in service and was scrapped in 1912 after a long period of being in storage.
