"DRL Q-Train" is a colloquial name used to describe the Disneyland Resort Line Railway Vision Train, a set of suburban electric multiple units on order by the MTR Corporation for operation on the Disneyland Resort Line of the Hong Kong Mass Transit Railway from around 2028.

History[]

The DRL Q-Train was designed as a replacement for the M-Trains operating on the Disneyland Resort Line (DRL) since 2005; the three M-Trains currently in service on the Disneyland Resort Line were manufactured in 1994 as part of the final H-Stock shipment for the M-Train fleet and were refurbished in 2005 for use on this line by MTR.

A procurement contract for these trains was issued in April 2024 by the MTR Corporation regarding the replacement of the M-Trains on that line. The new trains are expected to enter service around 2028.

Design[]

The DRL Q-Trains are likely to feature a design similar to that of the Q-Trains used on various urban lines in Hong Kong.

Specifications[]

Construction of the sets is likely to be of stainless steel. Few other details are known.
