The Louisville and Nashville Class K-5 was a class of twenty-six 4-6-2 "Pacific" type steam locomotives built for the Louisville and Nashville Railroad with six built as originals of the USRA Light Pacifics and twenty built as copies of the USRA Light Pacifics.

A total of six examples of what became the Louisville and Nashville Class K-5 were ever constructed, and they were all delivered to the Louisville and Nashville Railroad that same year, the first six examples were all built as originals of the USRA Light Pacifics while twenty examples were built as copies of the USRA Light Pacifics.
Retirement of the class had occurred between 1945-1963 and none of them were preserved, they were all scrapped after they were retired from active service, thus rendering them extinct.
