Imgscrapping

There were thousands of steam locomotives around the world that were built in several time periods, but when diesels came to fruition, many steam locomotives were retired or withdrawn from service and placed in scrapyards. Many steam locomotives survived into preservation but not all classes of steam locomotives survived into preservation. These are some of the classes that no longer exist.
