This engine is a 0-4-0 coal burning, narrow gauge (30") saddle tank steam locomotive built by Davenport Locomotive Works in 1907 under works number 643. It has 24" drivers and weighs 24,000 pounds.
It was used at the Laclede-Christy Clay Products Company in St. Louis, MO, to move car loads of clay to the brick factory. It was retired from service in 1952 and was donated to the National Museum of Transportation in Kirkwood, MO.
The locomotive is currently on static display on the grounds right outside of the gates of the Museum.
