No. 1054 is an 0-6-2 steam locomotive known as a Webb coal tank, which was manufactured at Crewe Works in 1888 for the London and North Western Railway. Among the many Coal Tanks produced, this particular locomotive, originally bearing the number LNWR 1054, is a noteworthy survivor. It holds the distinction of being the 250th of its kind built.[1]

Today, one of these historic locomotives, previously known as BR 58926 and LMS 7799, is in preservation and operates on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. It proudly retains its original LNWR livery and number, harking back to its earlier days.[2]

Ownership of this locomotive rests with the National Trust, and its day-to-day maintenance and operation are overseen by the dedicated team at the Bahamas Locomotive Society.[3]

This locomotive stands as a testament to the rich heritage of railway engineering and continues to delight and educate railway enthusiasts and visitors through its preserved state and active role on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.
