Kilmarnock was a 0-4-0 saddle tank locomotive.
History[]
Kilmarnock (named after the location of Andrew Barclays Caledonia Works) was built in 1893 by Andrew Barclay and sons as builders number 703 and came into possession of contractor James Nuttall who used it to construct part of the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway under contract from 1895 to 1900. In 1900 the L&BR sold Kilmarnock after Mr Nuttall left over financial disputes leaving the loco behind. It was owned last by the Fergus Reclamation Syndicate in Ireland which after it was no longer required was scrapped but it's unknown when.
