The Kobe Rapid Transit Railway is a private "Category 3" railway company based in Osaka, Japan.

The railway's origins date back to 1958, but little is known about the history of the company.

The company owns a total of three lines; the Tōzai Line, Namboku Line and the Hokushin Line, the latter of which was purchased from the Hokushinkyuko Railway in 2002 when the latter company began to suffer financially. Despite Kobe Rapid Transit owning the Hokushin Line, it does not operate trains on said line (or any of the lines it owns, for that matter), with operation handled by the Hokushinkyuko and the Kobe City Subway.

A notable trait about the railway is that it lacks a fleet of dedicated rolling stock, with the rolling stock used on the lines the system owns usually being Hankyu, Hanshin, Hokushinkyuko or Kobe City Subway rolling stock; instead, the railway provides the necessary infrastructure required for operation.
