History[]

Kansas City Southern No. 759 was constructed by the American Locomotive Company's Brooks Works in 1924 as a member of the class G-2 for the Kansas City Southern Railway, and it was delivered to the Kansas City Southern Railway that same year.

It was retired from service and scrapped with the exception of its tender surviving into preservation. No. 759's tender was spared from the scrapper's torch and sent over to the Illinois Railway Museum where it currently resides today.
