General Don (later known as No.1 Clevedon) was a 2-4-0 side tank steam locomotive.



History[]

General Don was built in 1879 by Dübs and company for the Jersey Railway where it operated until 1884 when the railway switched to narrow gauge and it was sold to the North Cornwall Railway on mainland UK. It operated their until in 1901 it was sold to the Weston, Clevedon and Portishead Light Railway and was numbered 1 and renamed 'Clevedon'. It was scrapped in 1940 with it's funnel being preserved by the National Railway Museum of the UK.
