Duke of Normandy was a 2-4-0 side tank steam locomotive.

History[]

Duke of Normandy was built by Sharp, Stewart and company in 1870 for the Jersey Railway along with it's older sibling Haro Haro. It operated on the standard gauge railway until 1884 when the railway was converted to narrow gauge.

Duke of Normandy was sold to contractors for the construction of the Manchester Ship Canal which opened in 1894 and sold to Thos. W. Ward limited of Sheffeild of North England and sold again to locomotive manufacturer Vulcan Foundry in 1897 as a yard shunter at their works in Lancashire. Duke of Normandy was scrapped in 1904.
