The JGR Class 9020 was a 2-4-4-0 Mallet locomotive built for the JGR from 1911.
History[]
The 9020s were used mainly as freight locomotives and were the first Mallet locomotives with tenders that were used on the JGR. A total of six locomotives were built by ALCO-Schenectady in 1911 and were originally classified as the Class 4600 locomotives. The locomotives were retired in 1925 after a rather short service life of just twelve years and were considered a failure.
No 9020 locomotives have survived into preservation.
