The JGR Class 3010 (originally the Hokkaido Government Railway Class D1) was a 2-6-2T Prairie-type side tank steam locomotive operated by the Japanese Government Railways from 1897 to 1923.

History

The Class 3010 was an early steam locomotive operated in Japan. The type was ordered by the Hokkaido Government Railway, with two locomotives built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works and delivered to the railroad in 1897; these were classified the Class D1 and numbered 6 and 7. The locomotives were renamed the Class 3010 in 1909 with a rule having been enacted to standardize locomotive naming.

The locomotives were used in Hokkaido and were not relocated after the railroad was acquired by the JGR. The locomotives were retired in 1923. No Class 3010s have been preserved.
