The JGR Class 1350 (originally the Hankaku Railway Class A1) was a 0-6-0T Switcher-type side tank steam locomotive operated by the Japanese Government Railways from 1897 to 1955.

History

The Class 1350 was an early steam locomotive operated in Japan. The type was ordered by the Hankaku Railway, with three locomotives built by the Pittsburgh Locomotive and Car Works. These were assigned the Class A1 and numbered 1 through 3.

After the Railway Nationalization Act was passed in 1909, the locomotives were renumbered the Class 1350. The locomotives changed hands a number of times; the class was subsequently renamed the Class 1255 around 1934, with 1255 being used until 1955 by the Nagareyama Electric Railway. No Class 1350s have been preserved.
