The JGR Class 1325 (originally the Hakatawan Railway Class 8) was a 0-6-0T Switcher-type side tank steam locomotive operated by the Japanese Government Railways from 1911 to 1950.

History

The Class 1325 was an early steam locomotive operated in Japan. The type was ordered by the Hakatawan Railway, with two locomotives built by the American Locomotive Company in the United States and imported into Japan in 1911. The locomotives were classified as the Class 8 locomotives and numbered 8 and 9.

When the Hakatawan Railway was acquired by the JGR in 1944, the locomotives were reclassified as the Class 1325 and numbered 1325 and 1326. After their acquisition from the JGR the locomotives saw little use until 1325 and 1326 were retired in 1947 and 1950 respectively. No Class 1325s have been preserved.
