Indiana Northern No. 5 was a 0-6-0 steam locomotive that was built by the H.K. Porter Company in 1919 as a switcher for the Indiana Northern Railroad.
In 1948, steam power came to a close on the Indiana Northern so No. 5 along with Indiana Northern No. 4, anther switching engine on the railroad, were replaced by a single EMD NW2 diesel locomotive. After this, No. 5 was sold and cut up for scrap.

- Indiana Northern No. 4, a sibling locomotive to No. 5, was spared the cutters torch and is currently undergoing restoration to operational condition by the American Industrial Railroad Society (AIRS).
