Illinois Central No. 2500 is a 4-8-2 built by the IC Paducah Shops in 1937 for the Illinois Central Railroad.
It was built for freight service on the Illinois central railroad, and ran in service until 1962, when it was retired and donated to the City of Centralia.
Today it is placed on static display along with a caboose, Illinois Central No. 9415, at Fairview Park in Centralia, IL.
