
Illinois Central No. 222 is was a 2-4-4T type steam locomotive built in 1883 by the Rogers Locomotive Works for the Illinois Central.
In the late 1800's the locomotive used on commuter runs into Chicago on the Illinois Central railroad and became a respectable fleet of tank engines to handle the commuter runs.
The locomotive was scrapped.
