Grand Trunk Western No. 5627 was a "K4a" 4-6-2 "Pacific" type steam locomotive built by the American Locomotive Company as a copy of the USRA Light Pacifics.

Grand Trunk Western No. 5627 was constructed by the American Locomotive Company as a copy of the USRA Light Pacifics, No. 5627 was the first member of the class.
It would be retired from service and scrapped along with Nos. 5628, 5630 and 5631. Leaving No. 5629 left in the class until 1987, when No. 5629 was scrapped from July 14 to July 20, 1987.
All thats left of No. 5627 along with the rest of Class K4a is one surviving Class K4b locomotive No. 5632.
