Frisco 1351

Frisco #1351 as seen today.

The Frisco No. 1351 is a 2-8-2 "Mikado" type steam locomotive it was built by Alco as SLSF Consolidation type (2-8-0) Class 1306 #1313 in 1912, but was converted to a Mikado type (2-8-2) at the Frisco's shops in West Springfield, MO, in 1945.

The 1351 operated for many years until it was donated to the City of Memphis in 1952 when it was retired.

In 1983, it was leased to the Memphis Transportation Museum and it now stands adjacent to N Rowlett St in Collierville, TN.
