Elgin, Joliet & Eastern Railway (EJ&E) No. 765 is a type of 2-8-2 'Mikado' steam locomotive. It was built in 1929 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway. The locomotive was used for freight service on the line.
No. 765 spent its first nineteen years on the Elgin, Joliet & Eastern before being sold to the Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range Railway as #1330 in 1948. She was retired from revenue service when the DM&IR dieselized in 1962.
When the locomotive's lease ended in 1962, the locomotive was donated to the city of Gary, IN, and displayed in Gateway Park, where it remains today.
