ECMR No.2 was a saddle tank locomotive.



History[]

ECMR No.2 was built in 1871 by Neilson & Company as builders number 1661 along with sister 1660 for use on the 3 ft 6 in gauge East Cornwall Mineral Railway as their No.2 this railway closed in 1894 and was taken over by the Plymouth, Devonport and South Western Junction Railway where No.2 was converted to standard gauge and to a cabbed 0-4-2 it operated until 1912 when it was sold and used on the Selsey Tramway named Hesperus when it was scrapped in 1927 after giving many years on reliable service.
