EMD GP9/Preservation

Several EMD GP9 locomotives have been preserved at various railroad museums, as public display pieces, and as excursion engines at heritage railways. This is a list of some of those locomotives that have survived into the preservation era.

• This list also includes the ones that are still in preservation and some that were formerly in preservation but were scrapped for one reason or another.
