Cloister is an 0-4-0 saddle tank locomotive that operates on the Statfold Barn Railway.
History[]
Cloister originally just number two was built by the Hunslet Engine Company as builders number 542 of 1891 along with sister engine 541 'Rough Pup' for the Dinorwic Slate Quarry in Llanberis, North Wales. Cloister was sold from the in 1962 for preservation. It was acquired at some time to the Hampshire Narrow Gauge Railway Society who in 2019 donated Cloister to the Statfold Barn Railway where it has since been operating.
