The Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad Class C-16 was a class of 2-8-0 "Consolidation" Narrow-gauge steam locomotives with a total of 53 examples built, with 28 examples by the Grant Locomotive Works, and the remaining 25 examples were built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works for the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad and later the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad.
Some examples were given names, while other examples were simply given numbers.
They were all eventually withdrawn from service. It is difficult to ascertain how many have exactly survived or what all of their final dispositions are but at least three known examples were preserved.
