Milwaukee Road No. 512 is an EMD SD7 diesel locomotive that was built by the Electro-Motive Division (EMD) for the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railway (better known as the Milwaukee Road) in June 1952.

History[]

Milwaukee Road No. 512 was manufactured in June 1952 for the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railway (better known as the Milwaukee Road) and was delivered to the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railway (better known as the Milwaukee Road) that same year in 1952.

Upon being delivered to the Milwaukee Road, it was first numbered as 2215, but later on in its career, it was renumbered to 512. No. 512 had remained in service on the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railway (better known as the Milwaukee Road) until it would be retired from service and was donated to the Dakota Southern Railway after being retired from service on the Milwaukee Road.

As of today, No. 512 is sadly scrapped In 2023.
