The Conway Scenic Railroad is a heritage railroad located in North Conway, New Hampshire.
History[]
The Conway Scenic Railroad was formed an employee of the Boston and Maine Railroad in the late 1960s. After years of negotiations, they were able to convince their employer to sell a portion of the Conway Branch, which was planned to be abandoned, to them and two local businessmen in 1974. The Conway Scenic Railroad officially began later that year. In 1999, the original owners were bought out by a husband and wife duo who had later ended up reselling the railroad on January 30, 2018, to Profile Mountain Holdings Corp.
The railroad currently operates both steam and diesel passenger trains out of its 1874 station in North Conway Village from April to December each year.
