Connecticut Coke Co. No. 3 is a 0-4-0F fireless steam locomotive built in 1930 by the H.K Porter Co. in Pittsburgh, PA. It has 20"x13" cylinders, 34" diameter wheels, ran on standard guage tracks, and weighs 35 tons.
It originally worked for the Huron Milling Co. in Harbor Beach, MI before being sold in 1947 to the Connecticut Coke Co in New Haven, CT. No. 3 was used to haul freight around the plant yard until 1960 officially becoming the last steam locomotive to operate in regular freight service in Connecticut.
In the 1990s it was removed from storage and cosmetically restored by the Valley Railroad. No. 3 now sits on static display at the Tanger Westbrook Factory Outlet Center, just off of Interstate I95, in Westbrook, CT.
