Canadian Pacific No. 5935 Is a 2-10-4 "Texas" Type Locomotive, better known as 'Selkirk'.
While the 'T-1a' Selkirks were built by the Montreal Locomotive Works for the Canadian Pacific Railway, sixteen more locomotives were built streamlined which matched the appearance of 4-4-4 Jubilees and 4-6-4 Royal Hudsons; classified as 'T-1c' in 1949.
Every (36) of these 2-10-4's were the standard gauge steam engines built for any Canadian railroad, running between 275 and 285 psi, burning gallons of oil and they produced 78,000 Ibs of TE, coupled with additionally 12,000 Ibs with a added booster.
Although all of the (36) Selkirks were scrapped in 1959, only two streamlined 2-10-4's remained as display locomotives, including number 5935.
Few years prior though, one of the deceased T-1c Selkirks was featured briefly in a feature film "Canadian Pacific".
