The Caledonian Railways 66 class were a class of 4-4-0 steam locomotives designed for pulling passenger trains by Dugald Drummond and built by Neilson, Reid & Co and St. Rollox Works from 1884 to 1891. These engines run on the Caledonian Railway (until 1919 and 1923) and the LMS (until 1929-1939 possibly) until they were all scrapped either in the 1920’s or 1930’s (1920-1939) . 28 of these engines were produced and were eventually all taken out of service and scrapped possibly by the 1920’s and 30’s . None of the members of the 66 Class survived to preservation sadly.
