The C Stock are a class of Sub-Surface stock on the London Underground, operating mainly on the Circle Line and the Hammersmith & City line, and also on a small section of the District Line. an upgrade program hopes to upgrade them all to S Stock by 2015. By now, all C-stock trains have been withdrawn and subsequently replaced by newer S-stock trains.
History[]
The C stock are quite iconic around Britain, and are often depicted as a very standard 2000-2010 style locomotive. They have a standard seating arrangment, and are also fitted with announcers, and automatic sliding doors, unlike the S Stock, that will have Semi-Automatic doors.
The C Stock where built in 1967 by Metro Cammel, a metro company. They where built to replace the aging O and P Stocks.
