The CB&Q Class M-3 were a class of ten USRA Heavy 2-10-2 steam locomotives that were built by the American Locomotive Company (ALCO) for the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad (better known as the Burlington Route) in 1919.
History[]
In all, a total of ten locomotives of what had became the CB&Q Class M-3 were ever built by the American Locomotive Company (ALCO) in 1919 and all ten of them were delivered to the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad (better known as the Burlington Route) that same year in 1919.
Retirement of the class had occurred between 1935 and 1954 and not a single one of the ten locomotives were preserved, they were all scrapped.
