Boston & Albany No. 618 was a class J-2c 4-6-4 "Hudson" type steam locomotive built by Lima in 1931 for the Boston & Albany railroad.
It spent most of its life hauling passenger trains on the Boston & Albany railroad until 1951, when dieselization of the Boston & Albany replace steam locomotives. It was later transferred to suburban service out of Weehawken, New Jersey and renumbered in 1951 to the New York Central railroad, and renumbered it to #5473.
It operated until 1952, when it was retired and scrapped.
