Esau was a 0-4-0ST saddle tank steam locomotive.
History[]
Esau was built in 1904 for the Blake Dean Railway by W. G. Bagnall though it has not been confirmed as their last locomotive. On the BDR it was driven by Enoch Tempest. The railway closed around 1912 and Esau was sold to James Whittaker and Sons and used at their Scout Moor Quarry at Edenfield, Lancs until 1939.
