Baldersdale was a steam locomotive.



History[]

Baldersdale was constructed by an unknown firm at an unknown date and was either sold or scrapped after the Blake Dean Railway closed. On the 5th of September in 1905 Baldersdale derailed underneath the portal crane of the central dam and the engine tipped over the side of the track. John Leech pushed the fireman James Taylor to saftey but was burned by steam from the boiler when he slipped. Mr Leech died just days after in hospital Nothing else is currently known about the locomotive.
