Black Hills Central No. 104 is a 2-6-2T tank engine steam locomotive that was built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1926 for the Silver Falls Timber Company in Oregon and The Peninsula Terminal Railroads in Portland, Oregon.

In 1965 No. 104 and its sibling engine No. 103, were both acquired by the tourist railroad the Black Hills Central Railroad in Keystone, South Dakota. No. 104 has been in continuous service over the years pulling excursion trains while No. 103 is currently in storage being used as a source of spare parts to help keep No. 104 running.

Since No. 104 can only handle about four cars on the steep graded hills, it used primarily in the off season, when passenger loads are lighter. It does make occasional appearances in the summer season whenever the Black Hill Central Railroad's primary engine No. 110, is out of service for its monthly inspections and boiler washes.
