No. 7609 was a class EM-1 2-8-8-4 steam locomotive that was built for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1944.
When it was retired, No. 7609 was offered to the city of Wheeling, West Virginia for public display, but the city said "no" and it was cut up soon afterwards.
