History[]
Guy was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in the USA in 1916 as builders number 44370 for the War Department (UK) as WD No.525 for use in the trenches of World War 1. Eventually it came to possession of the Ashover Light Railway who used for construction of their line in 1923 until 1925 when it fell out of use. It was stored on the railway occasionally parts were used from Guy to repair/maintain the operating fleet. Guy was scrapped in 1939.
