History[]
Algers, Winslow and Western Railway No. 204 was constructed in April 1955 by the Electro-Motive Division (EMD) and was delivered to the Central of Georgia Railway that same year in 1955 after it was constructed.
When the Central of Georgia Railway was split by the Southern Railway, CofG No. 204 had retained its number of 204 through the days of the Southern Railway, but when Southern Railway merged with the Norfolk and Western Railway to form Norfolk Southern, No. 204 didn't get passed onto the Norfolk Southern's roster. No. 204 was later sold to the Algiers, Winslow and Western Railway where it retained its number of 204, its unknown if it got retired from the Southern Railway's roster before being sold to Algiers, Winslow and Western Railway.
The locomotive was later sold to Respondek Railroad Corporation where it still retained its number of 204. Until being sold to a company called SCS. Until in March 2020, the locomotive was sadly scrapped
