Alaska Railroad No. 1050 was an Alco RF1A diesel locomotive built by the American Locomotive Company(ALCO) in 1943 under works number 70661. It was originally built for the US Army as RSD1 No. 8040. The Alaska Railroad acquired No. 8040 along with several other RSD1 locomotives in 1947 and rebuilt them all into RF1As in 1950 with this particular one becoming No. 1050. It was retired from service and was scrapped in 1963.
