The ALCO Century 425 was a diesel-electric locomotive type road switcher, that was built by ALCO for six railroads. In all, a total of 91 examples were built between October 1964 and December 1966.
Categorized as a member of the ALCO Century line of diesel locomotives, the C425 was an upgraded version of the C424. The C425 employed the same main generator found in General Electric's U25B diesel locomotive.
