The ALCO Century 415 was a diesel-electric locomotive that was built by American Locomotive Company (ALCO) for railroads in America and as far as overseas in Australia, as part of their ALCO Century Line of ALCO diesel locomotives.

Regarding technical specifications, the C denoted that it was a member of the ALCO Century Line, the 4 denoted it had four axles and the 15 denoted it could generate a total of 1,500 hp (1,100 kW).
History[]
The ALCO Century 415s were built from 1966 to 1968 by American Locomotive Company (ALCO), in all, a total of 26 examples were produced for seven railroads.
The C415 was a large switcher or small road switcher equipped with a raised cab mounted slightly off-center, with a lower, narrower hood on either side.
Trucks fitted were either Type B road trucks or ALCO Hi-Ad (high adhesion).
The locomotives are still in use to this day. According to the November 2011 issue of Railfan & Railroad magazine, the Burlington Junction Railway now owns three C415s numbered 21, 701 and 702.
