UIC classification: 2E2 (also known as German classification and Swiss classification)

Proposed design[]

In the days of the steam era, a proposed locomotive design was done by the Monon Railroad for a 4-10-4 locomotive. But it was never built due to steam technology seeming a bit old-school and diesel locomotives were taking over steam locomotives.
