The État 3801 to 3840, then État 230-801 to 883 (later SNCF 3-230.G.801 to 883), were 4-6-0 Ten Wheeler-type steam locomotives, built for the Administration des Chemins de fer de l’État between 1908 and 1912. They were known under the nickname of "Panama", because from Le Mans they pulled vacation trains to the the sea baths of Royan, and male passengers at that time wore the famous hatt for seaside, known as Panama.
